VACANCY NOTICE No: 1-51/Appt/Proj/ AMMP/SLTSCHB/DEC-ELIM/TB-ELIM /WGS-LEPTO/MBCC/SHRVP/MHBK/RMRC/PB/875 Date: 23/12/2019

A Selection process is proposed to be held to fill up various vacant posts on consolidated salary under different ad hoc projects as mentioned below in ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair on the dates mentioned below. Candidates, who fulfil the requisite qualifications may appear for the walk-in interview/written test. The candidate should bring duly filled in prescribed APPLICATION FORM available in the website of ICMR-REGIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE, Dollygunj, Port Blair, together with self-attested copies of all the certificates relating to educational qualification, date of birth, working experiences etc., on 7^th January 2020, during 9.30 - 11.00 AM. The candidates are also required to bring their original certificates for verification. After scrutiny of the applications the list showing the names of the shortlisted candidates for the interview/ written test will be displayed on the notice board of the Centre on 8^th January 2020 at 4.30 PM. The interview of the shortlisted candidates will be held on 9^th January 2020 from 10.00 AM onwards. Those candidates who are unable to access the internet may obtain the application form from the office of ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Dollygunj, Port Blair, on all working days from 9.00 AM to 05.30 PM.

1. Name of the Project: Phytochemical Investigation and Anti-Malarial Activity Evaluation of Medicinal Plants Used by Indigenous Tribes of A & N Islands (AMMP)

   1. Name of the Post: PROJECT ASSISTANT (PROJECT TECHNICIAN-II)

      Number of posts: One (UR)
      Salary: ₹ 17,000/- per month (Consolidated)

      QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

      • Essential
        High school *or equivalent with five years’ experience in laboratory (Microbiology/Biochemistry/Pathology)/Field work from a Government institution OR Certificate course of one year in related subject (preferably Microbiology/Biochemistry/Pathology)
        * Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2- and 3-years’ experience respectively
      • Desirable
        Working experience in laboratory (Microbiology /Biochemistry/ Pathology).
