Our investigations are based on a multipronged approach involving proteomics and bioinformatics for the identification and use of protein candidates for diagnosis, vaccine and drug development from outer membrane and secretory proteome of bacterial pathogens. Additionally, we are engaged in functional characterization of bacterial proteases and host-pathogen protein interactions to elucidate pathogenesis of leptospirosis.
