CURRENT AREAS OF RESEARCH INTEREST
My interest in research developed from observing the rapidly increasing burden of metabolic diseases, particularly diabetes. Particular interest lies in exploring the molecular mechanisms of insulin resistance and the role of epigenetic factors in metabolic regulation. The long-term aim is to contribute towards a better understanding of disease mechanisms and the identification of potential targets for disease prevention and therapy.
